Effective management strategies and execution is the
reason behind Cebu Holdings Inc.’s (CHI) strong
standing in the real estate industry despite the
lackluster interest in the real investment.
According to a statement, Unicapital Securities
described the Ayala affiliate as having shown
“consistently robust growths in gross revenue and net
income for the past three years” as of end of the
second quarter this year.
Another ALI
“CHI may be smaller relative to ALI (Ayala Land Inc.)
in market capitalization and size of operations, but
CHI may yet have the opportunity to become another ALI
in the long term, given the company’s management
strength and profitable business operations in the
Southern Philippines,” the repost by financial
analyst, Dianne Lorraine Sy said.
Strong land sales, commercial center revenues and
sales of sportsclub shares have pushed CHI’s
profitability in the past quarters.
“Despite the difficulties of the market, the Ayala
property development in Cebu have overtaken market
expectations of a continuous decline in market
activity by simply gearing up on its marketing
drives,” the report said.
Management is a team effort among professionals in
urban development, retail operations, economics,
finance, marketing and communications, it added.
Projects
A CHI statement said a combination of strategic
initiatives and sound business principles make the
CHI’s projects among the most dependable investments
in real estate today.
In the past 15 years, CHI has remained one of the
leading real estate companies in the country,
particularly in Southern Philippines, with operations
in commercial land sales, office and residential
condominium sales, commercial center, and hotel
development/operations through a company affiliate.
Its flagship project is the Cebu Business Park (CBP),
at the centerpiece of CBP is Ayala Center Cebu, which
is set to celebrate its 10th year next month.
CHI-subsidiary Cebu Property Ventures and Development
Corporation also trailblazes in the development of IT
parks with flagship project, Asiatown IT Park, the
first Philippines Economic Zone Authority-accredited
information technology park in the Visayas and
Mindanao. JBN |
