Expansion of transport services is evident.
Number of flights increased at the Mactan Cebu
International Airport as well as passenger
traffic at the ports. MCIA records showed that
both domestic and international flights rose
by 7.75 and 35.43 percent respectively.
Domestic travelers, meanwhile, preferred fast
ferries as seen by the sharp upswing in
passenger traffic at the ports. Ship calls
also increased by 12.71 percent while number
of passengers shot up to 15.18 percent over
the first quarter of 1997. |
