August) -- The Negros Occidental Tourism Center (NOTC) in
coordination with the Association of Tourism Officers in
Negros Occidental (ATONO) is conducting a three-day live-out
seminar-workshop on tour guiding that starts today, August
31, 2005 at the Audio Visual room of the Provincial Capitol,
Bacolod City.
Themed "Negros Duawa!!," the seminar-workshop is
participated in by 35 tourism officers from all over the
province.
In line with the thrust of Gov. Joseph Maraņon to actively
promote tourism as a tool for economic growth, this
seminar-workshop is aimed at improving the competence of
tourism officers in the field of promotion and marketing.

Pacete is the trainor. Topics include Exploring Beyond Self;
Flashing Your Destination; Put Life! Ready, Action; Is Yours
Engaging?; Make it Riveting!; Full Swing Ahead; Dissecting a
Mabuhay Script; The Journey Begins; Post-Mortem Operations;
Thoughts for the Road; On-Road - Southbound and On-Road -
Northbound.
Provincial Tourism Officer Jennylind Cordero said that the
seminar-workshop is in preparation for the province's
hosting of the Association of Tourism Officers in the
Philippines (ATOP) National Convention in Negros Occidental
in October as well as the arrival of 10,000 visitors for the
Southeast Asian Games in November this year. (Captiol
