August) -- For the first time in the history of Kabankalan
City Charter celebration, the Public Information and Tourism
Officers were invited to the launching/ opening of the
Kabankalan Museum (formerly the municipal hall) and the Agri-Tourism
Day.
Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr. cuts the ribbon to open the exhibits
in the museum.
The activity realized through the joint effort of the newly
appointed Tourism Officer Virgilio Gerongani, also the CDIO
(Community Dev"t. & Information Officer) and is assisted by
Eddie Yap. They both worked for the joint meeting and
participation of the IOs and TOs on this 8th Charter
Anniversary of the City.
The Info and Tourism officers were treated to a guided tour
to remarkable places around the City which culminated up at
City Hall.
They impressed by the visibility of Mayor Zayco and Vice
Mayor Rivera in the plaza where the mini rodeo was held and
the produce of farmers from all barangays were displayed for
sale in their respective both. The booth display is a
contest with a grand prize of P350, 000.
The celebration is a week - long affair which started last
July 27th and ended August 2.
This year's theme of their celebration: "Ugyon Kabankalanon,
