Tacloban City (2 August) -- To highlight the 175th Fiesta Celebration of the Municipality of Palo, Leyte on August 6, nightly presentations are lined up at the Palo Public Plaza with this year's theme, "KARAHIBUT".

Sponsored by different organizations and the local government of Palo, these nightly shows and sports activities includes karahibut '05 battle of the bandz, sayaw-rakya '05 contest, basketball championship, battle of the brains, search for Palo pop star and seminary night.

Likewise, August 2 until August 5, activities includes academy night, dinumdum, coronation night of Ms. Palo and sarayaw han bungto.

This annual activity is made possible to entertain its residents, visitors coming from nearby towns and most especially the balikbayans - leaving an impression of the lovely municipality being one of the progressive and lively towns of Leyte headed by its energetic local chief executive, Mayor Teodoro M. Sevilla.

On the whole, all these worthwhile endeavor highlights the town's fiesta in honor of Sr. San Salvador, the Patron Saint. This year's Hermano Mayor is Mr. Felino Lanoyvo and his family. (PIA-8)
